SAFE

ALWAYS wash your hands, or use a hand sanitizer BEFORE and AFTER touching any of the classroom pets.

RESPONSIBLE

NEVER handle a pet without staff permission.

NEVER feed anything to a pet without staff permission.

RESPECTFUL

NEVER hurt or abuse a pet.

Our Critters!

Princess R.I.P. Moe, Larry & Curly Blinky
Sherbet and Jake Karma Leonardo
Moe, Larry and Curly

Believe it or not, there's THREE gerbils in the first pic!! Moe is the white gerbil while Curly is the larger brown gerbil and Larry is the one with the WILD hair. Moe is the biggest of the three and kind've in charge. They LOVE chewing on toilet paper roles and snacking on sunflower seeds =) All three were rescued from Petco after their original owner had to give them up. They are GREAT fun and the kids really love them! Click their pix to "supersize" them.

Blinky

Blinky is a leopard gecko which was given to us recently. He is a pretty cool critter and even though his skin looks rough it is very soft and smooth. Blinky is blind but his handicap doesn't get in his way. =) Blinky loves to bask under his heat lamp, soak in a bowl, and eat meal worms which are hand fed to him by Mr. Clark. Sherbet & Jake the Snake

Sherbet and Jake the Snake are both "Corn" snakes. They were a gift from a friend and pretty cool and colorful. We think Jake is a boy and Sherbet is a girl and may have some baby corn snakes in the future. Sherbet is the lighter colored snake and really does look like orange sherbet ice cream! They are very active and fun to watch and hold. Click their pix to "supersize" them.

Karma

Karma is a very special snake for Mr. Clark....Mr. Clark took the death of Princess hard and while Karma is no Princess, it seemed like karma when Mr. Clark read about a sale on royal pythons at Petco. Karma is the only critter Mr. Clark has paid for. All of the rest have either been gifts or rescues. Karma is a cool little snake which may someday get as large as Princess at nearly five feet long. Leonardo

Leonardo is a red eared slider (RES). Like Blinky and Sherbet and Jake, Leonardo was a gift from a friend. He's a great swimmer and enjoys climbing up onto his turtle dock and sunning himself. Leonardo eats like Mr. Clark!!! A LOT!!! =) Mr. Clark feeds Leonardo all kinds of vegetables, but Leo really likes juicy mealworms. In fact, Leonardo will swim like crazy to Mr. Clark and then will take the mealworm straight from Mr. Clark's fingers! Pretty cool, huh?
